XDD
Ja ne!!
It's oveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!!!!! I finished all the exams!!!! *_______________*
It's been a hellish day, because the word "organization" in that university is an unknown concept... -_______- Poor Fede and Alice have to go back to uni tomorrow and Monday to finally sit this exam >_____<
I was able to do it today, because tomorrow there'll be a train strike (it's Italy, what do you expect? -__-) and since I've got a 2 hours ride to go to Milan I asked if I could do the exam today... final grade: 30/30!!!!!
I'm happy because I've been studying NY's ghettos for a month now, and though the topic was really interesting, I couldn't wait to get rid of this exam; I'm just disappointed because, due to bad organization, my friends and loads of other students weren't able to do it in the appointed day....
PS I'd really like to get my hands on the ass**** who hurt Valentina.... >________<
EDIT: I hate my modem 'cause it decided to go on strike exactly yesterday evening, right before the radio broadcast, so I couldn't listen to the only episode of Versione Beta where they talked about something useful: doramas!!!! And Tea, a subber form Doramiste Anonime Funsubs was on air by phone, and spammed our website (well Moni Hachiko and Fede and Laura's website... I only infest the forum ^^"""") ArashiForDream!!!! Ureshiiiiiiiii!!! ^_______^
Now I have to wait and dl the podcast of the episode.. also to know which Arashi song they played yesterday... UFF!!! >___<
Tomorrow I have the last exam of my career as undergraduate student.......
I'm fairly relaxed because this morning I spent 4 hours reviewing on MSN with Fede, but I'm quite nervous because I've no idea of the questions they could ask about ghettos and racism in 19th century US...
Tonight Day 3 of Arashi Week on Italian Radio Broadcast, I really hope they'll play some "powerful" songs like "La Tormenta"!!! XDD
Now back to study!!!
Ja ne!!
It's wonderful coming back home tired from an exam to find out that Arashi's new album is already available for pre-order!!! ^________________^
I'm not going to talk about the title or the special features, because you already know all about them... I'm just going to say that OF COURSE I'll be buying it, OF COURSE the Limited Edition and most certainly together with my friends to save shipment expenses... XDDD
I also just finished watching the News Zero special footage of Sho in Australia... it was really good to know how serious droughts and climate change are, especially in other countries, since the Italian news only talk about national problems... -____- I was just a tad disappointed that they cut the part where Sho is in an elementary school... I wanted to see him with children again... :P
On another note, my exam this morning went reasonably well: I got 30 for the sight translation, 25 for the presentation about robots (damn professor and his mania for pronunciation!! >__<) and 30 for the theoretical part (which is a miracle 'cause I didn't know a single thing, and I thought I had said a load of bulls*** XD) ... pity the written exam and the part I sat in December had low marks (just 20 and 22 rispectively).... ç___ç
Anyway, the final result was 24, which is quite good since I studied really badly.... ^____^
Now only 1 exam left and my first 3 years of university are nearly over... firste graduation is waiting.... quite a scary thought, isn't it??? XD
Yatta, Proposal Daisakusen 8 has just finished dl... Yamacippi!! *___*
Ja ne!!!
YOSH!!! ^_________^
I'm a bit sad though, because today the chapter "3 years of Japanese" was definitely closed.... Today I finally sat Japanese Culture III too (and I got 30 !!! YEEEEEEEEEEY!!!!) and now the first 3 years of studying Japanese at university are over....
Anyway, I stille have an English exam (I passed the written text!! even if only with a stinking 20... ç____ç but I really can't afford to re-take it in September due to graduation times....) and American Culture... AND today Moni lent me the books to prepare the Nouryoku Shiken Exam (level 2)... so I'm still busy with studying...
ONLY 2 EXAMS LEFT!!! Ureshii naaa...
If someone ever proposes you to watch "The Sun" ........... RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!!
It'a 2005 Russian movie about the final days of WWII for Japan, and Emperor Hirohito is going to announce losing the war....
I have to watch this movie for the Culture exam of Friday, but it's sooooooooooooooooooo boring.... I started watching it yesterday night but I fell asleep after 10 minutes... now I'm stuck at 1.00.00 and can't go on watching.....
ç__________________________________ç
I'd rather watch AAA dvd, but I'm broke as always, so I'll have to wait this summer to buy it.... ç_____ç
It's quite some time I haven't been writing in here... well, I was really panicking about my exams!! XDD
Last Tuesday I had the English written text... next week I have the oral exam and I don't know YET if I've passed the written one... I mean, I'm pretty sure I did well (at least well enough to pass ^^) but I'd like to be sure, or this week I'll be studing for nothing!! (we have the rule that, for the language exam, if you don't pass the written part, you're not allowed to sit the oral one...)
The exam was pretty easy: one translation Italian-English, one English-Italian and then report writing... only, the organistation in my uni truly SUCKS!!! They gave us 3 hours to do the exam, but theyleft the report writing for last!!!
I mean, wouldn't it be better if the teacher read the text and then gave us one hour to do the report, and only THEN the 2 translations, so everybody had the same time for the report, and if someone finishes before the translation is free to go!!??
But no, first they made us do the translations... we were allowed to use the monolingual dictionary, and I've seen people taking 2 full freaking hours to do probably the simpliest translations I've ever seen!!! >___< Not to brag or anything, but I didn't have a dictionary, and I did both translations in 1 hour... then I was forced to wait for another hour for everybody else to finish.... only, time is never so fixed, so we should have started the report at 16.40, instead we started at 17!!!!! >________< Mukatsuku!!!! I had to leave at 17.30 to catch the train, otherwise I'd have spent the night at Central Station with the homeless ^^, because it was the last train I could catch (if I missed that one I didn't have the second train to go home..), so I was forced to write my report in 20 minutes......
That's why I'm hoping I've passed the exam.... ç____ç
Wednesday was Japanese's turn: written exam!! Kanjis, sentence translation, grammar and sakubun... we sat the exam together with the first years, it was funny because they were looking at us with something akin to adoration.... ^____^
Everyone in 3rd year was hoping the theme of the sakubun was 推薦状 (the letter of recommendation) - sensei said the themes would be the same as the ones we did during lessons for practice - cause we thought "it's the only one where they can ask us keigo.. and no one would be stupid enough to make us to a sakubun on Valentine's.. it' May!!"
..... OF COURSE this year there was the one about Valentine's Day!!! >_________________< the other choice was about "生活の便利なもの"... I could've done both cause during the year I've written all the sakubuns, but I chose Valentine's cause it was the one I remembered better...XDDD
Sensei told us he'd send the results by e-mail probably by Friday night... only we didn't got anything!!! On Sunday, as we all were starting to losing hope of knowing the results, the mail came: 27!!!!!! ^______________^ I guess all the drama watching paid well!!!
Yesterday morning we sat the oral part.. sensei had already given us the sheet with the questions, so I was fairly relaxed.. until 10 minutes before the exam!!! XDD But everything went well, I didn't have any problems and she gave me 30!!!! Final mark: 29!!!! やった!!!!The only thing she said: "you have good comprehension, and it's good for understanding and speaking in working situation, just be careful of the context because you tend to use the plain form too much..." ^^""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
I guess I'm watching TOO much jdramas..... XDD When I looked at the written text I was surprised: I knew I got some particles wrong, and I know I have horrible graphy, so the kanjis were the right ones, just not well enough written.... But I was surprised with the transaltions: not even a single mistake!!! The 5 sentences together were worth 15 points and I got 15+!!! YATTA!!! ^__^
Now, this Friday I have Japanese Culture.... I have to watch 2 movies (old and boring... -___-) and "read this material so you can make you own opinion whether existed or not"
....... nani sore???? I guess I'll tell her some things and praying she doesn't take away my well-deserved 30 in Japanese Economy....
Other things.... last Tuesday (as I sat the English exam) Dad had the surgery on his right shoulder, to fix the tendons... Everything went perfectly right ^^, and he's already home being noisy and constantly asking favours "Giulia do this, Giulia do that, Giulia bring me his..."
And to think that he'll be home for 3 months!!! ç______________________ç
Well, now I'm off studing again.....
Ja ne!!
My exams start tomorrow!!
I should be studying but I don't know WHAT!! I mean, tomorrow and Wed there are the written text (English and Japanese) and I'm already alright about rules and grammar.... oral exams start only next week but I don't want to mess up my head with loads of other things (I'm already confused as it is.... -____-)
Well, right as I was writing this a mail from Fede came, with loads of other technical words to learn and translate... now I HAVE something to do!!! ^_____^
.... even if I have tons of things to do -> mainly study!!
Well, today wasn't reallly wasted: I reviewed Japanese grammar, did some errands for Mum, and this afternoon my aunt&uncle came by to visit.... and yesterday I wrote the summary of he book I HAD to read -___-; translated 4 texts and reviewed kanjis, so I'm not really "rolling my thumbs" (as Dad "kindly" says....)
On Wed. I did went shopping with Mum... and she bought me, not a pair of jeans ^^ (as I needed), but two pairs of capris (I LOVE them!!!) and a purple T-shirt (....some underwear and socks too, but it's not really important.. XDD) I wanted to take a picture at the pants because really like them but the digi cam is still in my brother's hands, so I can't show you them... ç__ç
Oh, I watched tv for a bit today (mezurashii!!! Beside the news I'm completely snobbing TV nowadays.... mostly because I need the laptop to watch Arashi ^^ and also because there's NOTHING good on tv...) and I got lucky enough to find on MTV some good videoclips: Linkin Park and Green Day!!! ^__________________________^
Two das ago I dl LP's new video, "What I've done"..... OMG it was so deep and powerful it nearly made me cry!!! Especially the bit when a huge explosion blows away the snow from the trees.... WOW!! I love their new sound in this song, I can't wait for the album to arrive in Italy, so I can buy it (legally XDD)
Also, today there was the MotoGP Official Practice session....... don't know what the HELL happened to Dani's bike, but it kept bouncing, it was really unstable.... Chattering??? Saaa... I just know he'll be startng from the 10th place in the grid o___________O and it'll be very though to get a good result, especially with a Stoner in a state of bliss (and a Ducati that makes the best times with RACE tyres on - non the chewing gums!!-) and a Rossi on the warpath.....
Next week exams will be starting -> NOOOOOOOOO!!! ç____ç and Dad will be operated on the shoulder which means that I'll have him stuck at home for 4 months!! ç__________________ç I think I'm gonna kill him if he gets on my nerves more than he already does....
Oh, finally some kind soul translated and hardsubbed the special interview of Nino "Jounetsu Tairiku" Thaks a lot!!YEY!!! I LOVED that interview, even if I was shocked at seeing the huge eyebags he had in Berlin.... Nino take care of yourself!!! Eat plenty and sleep at least 8 hrs. straight or you'll end up in hospital!!! (<- worried mum mode on ^___^)
Dakara, now I'm off to see it!!
As soon as I've seen tomorrow's race I'll post the results!!
Ja neeeeee!!
Just a brief update (I'm submersed by books, notes and dunno-what-more..... I really need to study!! ç______________ç) to tell everyone this: watching Arashi with your friends is the best way to cure mental illnesses in general^^, and especially exam-related panic attacks!!! ^____________^
I'd like to write everthing about the "Arashi Marathon" of the past weekend, but I'm lazy today XD so I'll link you to Hachiko's blog for all details: http://arashi-vale.vox.com/library/post/maratona-arashica.html
SAIKOU DATTA!!! Minna arigatou!!! Even if Monica couldn't come because of the fever no yarrou, it was really funny!!! Can't wait until their AAA DVDs arrive (uff, why I'm always broke?? ç_____ç Hoshiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!) to get together again and have loads of fun!!! ^_______^
Other news about myself:
- Exams are less than a week away, I'm studying and all but I'm more anxious than I've ever been and I don't know why... maybe because these are the last exams before graduation, so I'll have to do my very best to get the highest marks I can.... GANBARIMA-----SU!!!! ^____^
(I'm so lazy today I don't even want to change the writing into Japanese.... -_____-)
- Moni and Hachi finally got the answer form Doushisha Uni: THERY'RE GOING TO KYOTO!!! OMEDETOU!!!!! (I'll be sure to give you the "shopping list" before you leave.... XDD) Now the only thing is to get the tickets for Arashi NatsuCon... ganbare!!!!
- Yesterday there was a special lesson about Tokyo, "DocuCity"; how the city was, in the POV of the great Meiji writers, and how it is today, with its light, and skyscreapers and tourists and everything.....
It was really interesting, but since I'm not particularly fond of literature (I'd rather much more economy and policy related topics) and the speaker, Prof. Maria Teresa Orsi, while extremely famous, competent and interesting had a very sleep-inducing voice.... -__- I'm glad I went, but I still feel that it'd have been better to stay home and study.....
I think I've said everithing, now I'm off to study again!!!
Ja ne!!!
