I tried to bake cookies today, but it seems like it's not a job for me..... ç___ç I prepared the dough yesterday evening, and today I made them, but....
They were burnt!!!
I think it was because of a mix of things though.... the oven too hot, too much egg yolk on the cookies...
For the second batch I tried not putting the yolk on and the oven on a bit lower heat...
またダメかよ???(though they DO look a bit better... but just a bit)
But the biggest disappointment was this....
I wanted to bake The Domyouji Cookie ^^ and it ended up being a Bob Marley cookie!!! ç________________ç
I guess I'll be stuck on cooking pasta and éclaires form now on.... the only things I'm good at.... ç__ç
This is the pasta I made a couple of days ago..... "Three Colours Pasta", my own receipe: fresh mushrooms, zucchini and ebi ^^ with olive oil and white wine... めちゃめちゃ美味かったよ, especially since it was the first time I made it!! ^___^
On the good side, yesterday I finally got to hang on my cupboard walls the uchiwas Moni and Vale brought me from Japan We all met last Saturday and it was really good to see them again all after a month!!! ^__^
Juuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!! Aiba-chaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!! *_____________________________*
My Mum was a bit surprised at first when she entered my room 'cause she hadn't noticed I hanged them on the wall... XDD but then she said "they're cute those boys" *__________* Muuuuuuuuuuuum!! ILY!!
These are the other presents they bought for me:
The Campus notebooks, which are the greatest things to take notes on (Vale e Moni, sono anche meglio di quelli che avevo preso io l'anno scorso perchè questi hanno più pagine!! ^^ davvero grazie mille!!) and the Saibashi, the long hashi for cooking!! (with teddye bears on *__*) ^_______^
But I also got a little, but wonderful surprise...
ARASHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!! *______________________________* すごい!
(but why Aiba-chan's doing a totally different move??? XDD)
Now I'm off to see Mago Mago... Jun and Aiba.... *__*
Ja nee!!!
.... JUN!!!
It's only a year thath I got to know you and Arashi, but I really wish that you loads of Happiness^^ (tomorrow the PV's out!! YEY!!), and keep being the handsome man you are!!! XDDD
There are loads of other things I'd like to talk about though...
Moni and Vale are back!!!! Chou ureshi!!! I can't wait for Saturday to come, so we can meet!! (of course it's not only to collect my nippo-shopping, noooooooo... XDD) I bet they have loads of things to tell, especially about Arashi's concert!!! ^_____________^
I haven't much to tell though.. I just spent 4 days on holiday (in the mountains, f***!! it was freezing cold because it kept raining.. and SNOWING!!! ON AUGUST 21st!!! O____________________O), and last weekend Fede, Gaia and Daria come over to my house for a sleepover...
It was short but we had a lot of fun: we watched together YTM, and other movies like Zoolander (the craziest movie I've ever seen!!! XDDD) and The emperor's foolies (is the title right?? I know it only in Italian... ^^"""""""""""""), we went to lake to swimming and getting the last sun, and generally we kept having fun and saying stupid things!! (mainly about Arashi!!! XDD)
Now summer is nearly over, and it's time to focus back on to the important things.... graduation (and the thesis!! ç___ç), enrolling into graduate school and finding a part-time job to save some money.... I WANT TO GO TO JAPAN!!!
Ok, the rant is over!! XDDD
XDDD)
Ja neeeeeeeeeeeee!!
Bye bye to "Bambino!" because it finished last week (and I'm busy studying so I watched it only a few days ago)....
Last episode was so cute... the "final dinner" at Baccanale was so touching.... and Jun speaking Italian is so freaking cool!!!! He really practiced hard, because his pronunciation is nearly perfect!!! びっくりした!I mean, my Japanese professors at university talk exactly like him, and they've been living in Italy for 20 years!! (if not more!!) O_____O
Bye bye also to "Propose Daisakusen"....
ALERT: SPOILER AHEAD!!
Ken's confession to Rei at the wedding was good, but I was hoping she would stay with Tada-san... I mean, Ken and Rei couldn't confess to each other in - what 6, 7 years? - and they get to finally "be together" just like that, after her wedding to another man??? No freaking way!!!!! >____<
END SPOILER
Of course the ending was the typical Japanese dorama-style ending: USELESS!! Now I just hope they WON'T do a sequel/special dorama to see Kenzo and Rei together cause to me it sounds stupid....
Bye bye to my cousin Veronica, cause this moring she took a flight to NY.. She's going to stay there for 2 weeks to study English.... at Princeton Campus!!!
I know it's just two weeks, with the vacation program for employee's children of the firm my Uncle works in, but I'm quite envious: my cousin already went twice in London and once in Greece with this study programs, and yet, whenever she has English homework to do I get a SMS "Giulia, can you help me??" むかつく!!And her homework's not a treatise on, dunno, nuclear weapons or world hunger!!! She's a freaking third-year at high school!!! The most difficult essay was "describe a monument of your hometown" !! >__<
I guess I'm just disappointed because, due to her father's job she gets all the occasions to learn something and visit wonderful places, while I always have to study hard, pinch every penny and ask my parents for help to have the same opportunies.... I mean, I was planning to go to America this year, but I had to say no to my other Uncle (who's going this August) because I've got no money and I have to write the graduation paper... And only if I get a part-time job I'll be able to go to Florida and NY next year, otherwise nothing...
Life's not fair... absolutely not....
.... Well, its Amabassador for the time being. ^^ (but we Italian fans are waiting to welcome you and the other 4 bakas XDD)
I watched the clip on Rin's Vox (thanks a lot!!!! ^^) that the Italian Ambassador in Tokyo went to visit the set of "Bambino" and talked to Jun... he told him that he resembles Marcello Mastroianni (a late Italian actor) <- which isn't actually true but... XDD; and invited Jun and the rest of the cast to come to Italy....
Not only this visit is surprising, but also the fact that an Italian newspaper "Il Sole 24 Ore" had an article about the dorama... We already had a small feature of "Bambino" in the Italian edition of "Vanity Fair" a month ago, but now the most prominent Italian economic&financial newspaper too...
I think it's because the Embassy and the Institute for Foreign Trade helped the production to put up a believable background of Italian food, helping the production to get in touch with real Italian bars an restaurants in Japan...
Anyway, my friends and I found some other articles on various blogs, and even on the Daily Yomiuri Online:
"The exchange between the Italian Ambassador and Mastsumoto Jun"
"NTV's drama "Bambino" received (today) the visit of the Italian Ambassador. During the shooting in the Kawasaki's studios, Ambassador Bova said "this drama is a proof of the friendly relationship between Japan and Italy." The Ambassador has then invited Matsumoto and the cast "to come to Italy and learn more of the many beautiful things of our country."
Meanwhile, the set was bustling with people cooking for the shooting.
Matsumoto replied to the invitation saying that "I haven't yet cooked antyhing in real life, I learnt cooking pasta and tiramisù only for shooting while on set"."
(credits: ME^^ for translating from Japanese into Italian, and then from Italian into English XDD)
My Jap; Lo Spettacolo <- these two are in Italian, they basically say that in Japan a TV series about Italian cuisine is being aired, starring young "rock idol" XDD Matsumoto Jun.
(if anyone's interested in reading these articles wholly, let me know and I'll translate them!! ^^)
I was just a tad disappointed that the translator for the Ambassador wasn't the Cultural Expert -> who happens to be my former Japanese Culture Professor ^_____^ Zannen!! XDD
Well Jun, whenever you want to come to Italy you'll be more than welcome!!! we're waiting for you!!! ^___^
I'm taking a well-deserved break from studying (the development of Lower East Side and Harlem in 1800-1900 NYC.... interesting really, but reading 400 pages of literature, theatre and social racism in 5 days can be quite tiring....) and I'm now dling Bambino 9 and various episodes of D no Arashi.... I seriously love Arashi for doing all these funny programs...
A couple of months ago I watched the "Matsupi- Terebi Shopping - part 2" with Nino and Jun... apart from rolling on floor in laughter with Nino appealing to the housewives "Okusan"... ^__^
..... I loved Jun acting as "poor housewife" who, wearing a PINK apron, has to peel daikon and edamame all day for his her husband XDD... really suited him XDDD
Anyway, now I'm trying to find the first episode of the "Terebi Shopping" but I don't know the air date... -___- I guess I'll just keep dling various episodes until I find it....
Thanks a lot to arashianfiles.orgfree.com because it's an endless source of Arashi videos....
EDIT: I got it!! The first D no Arashi "Terebi Shopping" episode!!! And completely by chance!!!!
^_____________________^
Today's Saturday!! And as always I haven't got around to do NOTHING!
I wanted to get up early this morning to watch the MotoGP Qualifying Practice... I woke up at 7.30 and thought "well another 10 minutes"... and when I woke up again it was already 10.30!!! YABAAAAAAAAAAAAAI!!!
Only 2 minutes to go to the loo and then Mum literally shipped me off to do some errands; then lunch, doing my chores... it's now 7.40 and I didn't do anything!! ç__________ç
I really wanted to finish writing the last 2 essays for Japanese, start the novel for American Culture and read the essay for English but..... ç__ò
And of course Valentino Rossi took the pole position.. AGAIN! >___<
AND THE EXAMS ARE ONLY TWO WEEKS AWAY!!! THE LAST 4 EXAMS BEFORE GRADUATION!!! KOWAAAAAAAAAI!!!
Thank God yesterday I watched the 3rd episode of Bambino!! ^__^ It's finally starting to grow on me this dorama; I was watching it cause Jun's starring in it, but I was a bit skeptical about the plot, because I thought it would be always the same, Ban's in the kitche, can't do anything, gets scolded (and beaten), cries like a baby, works his arse off and evrything's alright... but now the plot has changed a little and I really can't wait for the next episode!!! ^^
I do wish Ban would stop being a crybaby though... everytime he's facing a hardship (and getting the worst of it) he starts crying... It's something that really pisses me off, especially if it's a guy crying...
But then, I think the final purpose of the story is to make Ban grow up and face the world as a man... thus "Bambino" !! ^_____^ (that mangaka is a genius!!)
Another dorama that really glues me to my laptop's screen is Liar Game: I feared it would be a copy of Kurosagi (which was good yes, but boring after 3 episodes cause the plot was always the same... and it didn't have a conclusion!! >__<); but the story is really interesting, changing at every episode, and with a touch of psychology and thriller which I think it's perfect!! AND Matsuda Shota's is really kakkoii!! ^____________^
The "delusion" is Proposal Daisakusen: gomen ne, Yamapi, but you always get stuck with ripetitive stories and characters... it's only the 3rd episode and I've had enough of the "Alleluja Chance" (probably the trashiest thing I've seeb lately o__O) and of turning back time to fix the picture....
I'm not saying it's a bad dorama, cause it's light and funny enough, but it's becoming boring... Well, at least I get to see Yamacippi (copyright by Hachiko ^__^) in all his glory..... XDDD
This week I got to download loads of videos.... the best one I think is Arashi at Utaban... the performance of "We can make it!" is soooooooo cool ^/////////////////////^, and the talk made me laugh so much I was crying!! And Ohno's appearance at Waratte Iitomo?? Ah, I LOVE his goofy expressions!! ^///^
Thanks Arashi for existing, cause you really brighten my days.... Just watching Shukudai-kun or Mago Mago puts me in a very happy mood, and I can forget school and exams for a while... But they're not only "baka airheads".... When I learned that Sho is in Australia to report the drought for News Zero, I got the idea for the presentation to prepare for the English oral exam... PLUS I'm getting better at understanding Japanese conversation!! Now I dare anybody to say that watching Arashi is only a waste of time... ne Mum? Dad? XDDD
Sore ja, mata ashita!! Stay tuned for the report of the MotoGP Grand Prix of China!! Go Dani!! ^__^
やった!I just finished the first episode!!!!
The dorama seems really interesting.. and funny!!! God, the Italian pronunciation is soooooooooooo funny!!!! I was laughing for the whole hour!!! ^_____________________^
And the dishes??? "Spaghetti alla bagna cauda"??? WTF?? Never heard of them, and I'M Italian!! Well, I know the "bagna cauda", it's a dish from my region, but it's really awful!! Onions, carrots, cabbage, meat and sardins stew.... BLEEEEAAAAAHHHH!! o_____________O
Thank God Jun always saves the day.... with his handsomeness, not his skills!!!^^ I really wanted to jump him when he got back into the restaurant, wet and beaten.... ^////////////////////////^ Poor guy, he'll have to work and work and work and work.... to cook something edible!! XDDD
Aaaahhh!! Can't wait for next week!!! ^___________^
Anyway I have a lot of things to do tomorrow: JAPANESE CULTURE EXAM!!! The Japanese Economic System before and after the "bubble", economic crisis and reforms, keiretsu, corporate governance system,.... ç________________ç マジで恐いいいいいいいいい!!!
I haven't the foggiest about what L'Altissimo ^^ can put in that damn paper.... Let's hope it's the keiretsu and the causes of the financial bubble, 'cause I don't remember anything about ristructuring and reforms....
The only positive thing is that the public transport stike has been canceled... instead of getting up at 4.45 am to be in Milan on time, I can go later!!! Wow, it's really good news for someone who gets up at 5.30 everyday!! ^___^
Then after the exam ther's the "goodbye after-hour" cause the Professor is leaving on Saturday for Japan... 4 years of "deployment" at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo.... I'm going to miss him I think.... but I'll definetly NOT miss his stupid jokes!! ^__^ I'm just thankful he signed my graduation papers and that last year he had let me go to Japan....
To end this hellish week on a positive note, on Sunday the MotoGP will back!!!! ^____________________^ Tukey, here we come!! Go Dani!!!
ç_________________________________________ç
Voglio andare in vacanza!!!!
Doumyouji and Makino got to get together!!!!
。。花男は終わったから!!ç_______________ç
I was so happy with the happy ending.... Domyouji is the best!!! But please change your wardrobe!!! The last golden suit was... o___________O
