Dani Pedrosa won the last race of the season!!! ^_____________________^
I guess it was the perfect weekend for him: pole position, fastest lap, and win, ALL in his home-GP!!!
I'm really, truly happy!!! Also because after a terrible season, Michelin got back on track and gave the riders some good tyres.... I mean, after a whole season of getting uterly defeated by Bridgesto, this is very welcome change... and a good hope for next year!!
It was really sad though, to see a Valentino Rossi who couldn't finish the rece, not due to pain (yesterday he fell down and fractured his right hand in 3 different point!! Poor guy!!), but because his Yamaha's engine broke.... -_____- He was giving everything to do this race and it had to end this way... let's hope for next season, because it's really sad to see the 7-times world champion getting defeated...
Congratulation instead to Ducati, for building a wonderful bike, the first Italian bike to win a championship in 33 years... And of course congratulations to Casey Stoner, who really surprised evrybody whit his skills in controlling the Ducati Desmosedici, which is really a monster...
Anyway, today's results.

Now we'll see wht's gonna happen in the pre-season tests... new teams, new riders, new tyres (for someone.... *cough* Rossi *cough*)

17th and next-to-the-last GP of this season...
For the 3rd time in a row Dani Pedrosa got the pole position, before Stoner and Melandri, with Rossi only 9th in the starting grid.
Pity that race and practice aren't exactely the same thing... Stoner got straightaway the lead of the race, followed by Dani, Melandri and Kawasaki's De Puniet; the only "emotion" of today's race was Melandri overtaking pedrosa on lap 10, and getting the 2nd place....
Final results: 1st Casey STONER (AUS) Ducati;
2nd Marco MELANDRI (ITA) Honda;
3rd Dani PEDROSA (SPA) Honda and so on...
Stoner got his 10th win in this season, Bridgestone has developed wonderful tyres (Stoner could afford to make the race's best lap at 2 laps to the chequered flag... O_____O) while Pedrosa is the only one capable to defend Michelin's honour....
Next race is the last one of the season, in Valencia.... I just hope it won't be the same "boring" show of these latest races...

It was a good race, pity only that Hayden had to withdraw due to technical problems on his bike, because he was 2nd and going to overtake Stoner for the first position....
Now next Sunday there will be the Malaysian GP...

Everyone hail to the newly proclaimed MotoGP World Champion CASEY STONER on Ducati!!!!
My goodness, the Japanese GP was probably the strangest race I've ever seen...
After leading for the whole weekend practices in the Japanese sun, Dani Pedrosa this morning got himself a wonderful pole position... and the rain °___°
The race started as a wet one, with Dani having a great start, he even seemed to be getting a serious advantage but Casey Stoner and rain geniuses Marco Melandri (ITA Honda) and Anthony West (AUS Kawasaki) overtook him...
7 times World Champion Valentino Rossi was starting from the 2nd position in the grid, but did a horrendous start and had to struggle to get in touch again with the leaders, Melandri followed by Stoner... He quickly overtook Pedrosa, and in a couple of laps Rossi vanished the 5 seconds gap he had with Stoner... O___O
After a few laps the track was starting to dry out so the bike-changing circus began... (with the new rules there's no stopping the race if it starts raining or the track dries... every rider has the second bike at the redy and is free to change it whenever he feels so)... Of course the first ones changing bike had an advantage because the tyres went at the right temperature faster...
The leading group (Melandri, Rossi who had just overtaken Stoner, the Aussie and Pedrosa) were the last one to switch bikes, which led to a very curious result: Melandri and Stoner ended up in the big group, Rossi was still first, but had to get back to his box for some problems, and Pedrosa while on his way to the box he lost control of his bike in a turn and crashed really badly (he hit his head, I hope he's alright!!!!)
After all this confusion the standings were: 1st Capirossi (who was one of the first to switch bikes) followed by French rider De Puniet on Kawasaki and Spaniard Elias on Honda battling with a suprisingly competitive Guintoly (FRA Yamaha) on Dunlop tyres...
Stoner in 6th position was still virtual World Champion because Rossi, who was having problems, was ony 13th... O____O
Finally, after 24 long, confusing and incredible laps the race ended with Capirossi as winner on Ducati (his 3rd running on the Japanese circuit), probably his last win on the Italian bike, since he'll be a Suzuki rider next year; 2nd kawasaki's Randy De Puniet (his first podium in MotoGP) and 3rd Toni Elias.
Casey Stoner with his 6th place is the new World Champions, a very deserved title after a wonderful season...
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! ^_____________________^
Now, my thoughts: I'm happy for Stoner, cause he was really great throughout the whole season; and for Ducati because it's been nearly 20 years since an Italian bike won the MotoGP title...
Congratulations to both rider and team/manufacturer because they had a great bike, wonderful tyres (never this important like this year) and a great and talented rider!!!
On the other hand, it's really a bad day for Honda, who loses exactly in their home GP and on their own circuit... O___O It seemed to be a promising weekend, and instead it turned out to be a complete disaster..... -_____-
HRC has loads of work to do for the next season, if they want to win the title again.... but they seem to be on the right track (finally!!! >__<)
About Rossi.... well, he and his team got the timing for the bike change completely wrong that he lost many positions... and the problems on the bike didn't help either... in any case it was a bad season for him althogether... Yamaha has to work a lot more...
Anyway, congrats again to Stoner and Ducati, and let's hope that the last 3 races and the next season will be just as this interesting... but with another winner... XDDD
I've got no words to describe today's race at Estoril... it was just AMAZING!!!!

Stoner had some problems with his bike but was nonetheless fast and very very good; Rossi and Pedrosa duelled until the very last turn, with Rossi getting the upper hand at very end of the race but Dani was really fast and aggressive throughout the whole race, I've never seen him ride like he did today.... I'm happily surprised!!! *___*
This was what made and still makes me love MotoGP... the duels, the passion, the talent.... not to mention the roar of the engines.... *_____*
Thanks a lot to these three riders for keeping me jumping up and down screaming for a whole hour... ^^
The MotoGP's back, after a 11 year hiatus, on the legendary Santa Monica circuit, just a few metres away form the Adriatic Coast!!!

As usual Aussie genius Casey Stoner (bellissimo il nuovo nomignolo che Guido Meda gli ha affibbiato oggi, GAStoner Paperone, per la "fortuna" di non avere in gara nè Rossi nè Pedrosa... >____<) won the race, completely alone, since direct followers Vermuelen (AUS) and Hopkins (USA) both on Suzuki couldn't just keep his pace...

Bad luck's still pursuing poor Valentino Rossi who, after a troubled summer due to problems with the Italian fiscal system (he seems to not paying his taxes properly.... -___-), had to retire today because his engine broke down.... I'm sorry to say it, but the title's now gone, for both Rossi and Pedrosa, even if the arithmetics still says otherwise....
I'm happy to see Ducati winning and all because I've always supported Ducati since it returned to the MotoGp in 2003, but I'd rather see an Italian rider winning on it than a foreign one..... (though I wouldn't complain it said rider were Dani Pedrosa.... XDDD)
I forgot to post about last race, in Brno because I was on holiday, but it wasn't really different from today: Stoner won, followed by Hopkins and Hayden (USA, Honda) with Pedrosa 4th and Rossi 7th.. O___O

E non sono finiti!!! Perchè questi due l'anno scorso e quest'anno ne han sparate di ancora più grosse, tipo:

- (riferito a Pedrosa) sto Torero Camomillo tira come un indemoniato!!
- Alberto Porta a Pedrosa: "speriamo che domani non tiri vento perchè una folata potrebbe portarti via"
- Beltramo a Laguna Seca 06: "se dici bocciardare all'esame di italiano ti bocciardano o ti promuovono?"
- Reggiani: "non so se mi spiego... disse il paracadute"
- Più che Laguna Seca è Laguna Flambè
- della famiglia Hayden dicono che anche il cane abbia chiesto la possibilità di poter prendere la patente A
- Gomma morbida, morbida da mordere
- Reggiani: "oltre al Torero Camomillo che è Pedrosa, il Pinguino Bellisario chi è?"
- (Laguna Seca 06) M: "Roberts con un ventolino sul coppino" R: "ed una sventola al fianco"
- il presidente Yamaha che si è spaventato quando Poncharal gli ha portato una ventola... forse avrebbe preferito una sventola anche lui come quella di Roberts
- (parlando del mercato piloti 2008) M: "e se non volete spendere tanto, con 3 milioni e mezzo di euro potete portarvi a casa un Pedrosa, che non sarà simpatico, ma dopo Striscia è pronto per andare a letto con l'orsacchiotto"
- (parlando della RC212V) M: "questa moto che va bene per un mago, perchè solo Harry Potter - Pedrosa riesce ad infilarcisi dentro..."

Woahhhhhhh!!! I'm late!! It's already Thursday and I haven't written the race report!! °__°
Here I go then: 1st Casey Stoner (AUS) Ducati -> seems to have broken the "Pole Position Curse" because until this round nobody who scored the pole position had been able to win.... Bit boring though because he got straightaway the lead and lapped "in solitary"... what a show killer -____-
2nd Chris Vermulen (AUS) Suzuki - great race, but honestly, he knew the track from SBK...
3rd Marco Melandri (ITA) Honda, but next year he's going to be Stoner's teammate in Ducati...
Poor Nicky Hayden, two-times winner of the USA GP collided with John Hopkins right after a very good start, seriously damaging the bike, so after some laps he had to retire...
It's been a tough race also for all Michelin riders, with Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa only 4th and 5th....
The only thing of this race was that I saw it with Vale because I was staying over at her home.. ^___________^
Well, it's time for the holidays now, so see you on August 19th for Brno race.... I'm sure there will be many surprises, and they're better be good!!!

Dani Pedrosa and Honda are back on the top of the podium!!!! *_______________________________*
It was a very strange race, with:
-
a Stoner on pole position but with serious problems with his tyres that got him only the 5th position today;
-
a Rossi who's trying to get back on the lead like the magnificent race in Assen, but falling down like a freshman;
-
a Melandri that needs just a few bike updates and becomes a new rider (pity his tyres - same as Stoner - abandoned him at the end of the race);
-
a "ready for retirement" Capirossi that forces everybody to take back their words with a superb 2nd place;
- a Honda that once more demonstrates to be the top maker of the world, improving a weak bike in literally no-time...
I'm especially happy today because Pedrosa is back for the struggle for the title for good, and Nicky Hayden did a wonderful race, starting 14th in the grid and finishing 3rd.... Now I'm sure that HRC will do anything to close the gap with Ducati and Yamaha, and they'll not make the same mistakes for next year's bike...
Anyway, final results of Germany's Grand Prix:
1st Daniel Pedrosa (SPA) Honda;
2nd Loris Capirossi (ITA) Ducati;
3rd Nicky Hayden (USA) Honda.
The championship from now on will be veeeeeeeeeeeeery interesting....

I DON'T WANT to believe it!!!
Marco Melandri, the Italian rider of MotoGP Team Gresini, with a Honda RC212V, in a fit of rage after the disappointing results of Assen race, threw a punch on his bike's front glass, breaking it...
It also seems (it hasn't been confirmed though) that after gettin back to his box, Melandri tried to BREAK the bike's engine by making it run at its limit, while gripping the gear...
I'm so disappointed... I know that after 9 races of getting bad results and zero feeling with the bike it could be frustrating for a rider, but trying to voluntarly break the bike... O_________________O
