Nothing better than a TOKIO song to get my spirits up.... I'm a bit depressed because some bad things happened two days ago, and I'm still quite angry and disappointed...
Anyway, Happy Easter to everyone, even though it's already come and gone.. XDD I spent the day with my family at Uncle's house, and I played the whole afternoon with my cousin with the Wii!!! *___* It's so cool that consolle!!!
I'm so freaking addicted to it, that last Friday I went with Moni and Gaia to Hachiko's house to play with it, and I begged my cousin to lend me her Wii this week since she's in Barcelona for her school trip!! XDD I found out I'm quite good at golf and tennis (now that I learned the tricks ^_-), but I'm and ace at bowling!! Yesterday I did 2 stikes running!! XDD
Thank goodness for the boxe game, because it helped a lot to relieve yesterday's stress, when I found out that the Italian Post lost me two of the books I ordered on Amzon!!! I can't believe that they could get lost items wrapped in parcel...
But the thing that really pissed me off was that the first time I went to the post office to ask for an explanation, I was told "oh, we remember this package, this morning it seemed fuller and heavier" = meaning that that morning all 3 books were inside the parcel. And yet, the second time I went there they told me "oh no, it's not possible that we lost the books here, they must have gotten lost at the post centre in Milan" ムカつく Part 1...
And whem my Mum pointed out that "it's absurd that people'd steal some books in English" the woman said "but there are people who read books in English" ... Yeah, but I'd really like to know who this arse is, because those were books on Japanese Politics, for which I spent nearly 70 euros and I need them for university!!! I don't know how many people in a 3000-habitants town besides me are interested in Japanese Politics.... >____< 超むかつく!!
They really tried to make fools out of my Mum and me, and this is the thing I really can't accept: the Post is a public service, paid with our taxes, and I pretend that people to their job seriously and treat the clients as they should be treated...
The only consolation is that when I wrote to Amazon to ask whether I could get a refund or anything, they replied within not even 2 hours, and they told me they'd ship another copy of the 2 books, with no expenses at all... *__* I love Amazon, because it isn't absolutely their fault, and yet they're willing to deliver me for free the lost items, so I can keep shopping with them.. This is what I call doing serious business!!!
Now I just hope that the new delivery will get safely...
..... and also the DVD I ordered on Amazon.de!! I bought "Godzilla Final Wars" the German edition!! XDDD I found the movie on internet, because Matsuoka stars in it, and buying the DVD on CDJapan costs nearly 30 euros... and then I find the German Limited edition for just 10 euros!!! XDDD I just couldn't not buy it!!! XDD It must be the trashiest movie in all history, it's in Japanese and German with no English subs at all, but I want to see it!!! XDD
Talking about Matsuoka there were really wonderful news about TOKIO recently: at their first show at Nippon Budokan on March 8th, Yamaguchi announced that he got married with his long-time girlfriend, and they're already expecting a baby!!!! *_____________* おめでとう~~~~~~!!!
And then two days later in an interview, Mabo reveals that he's living together with his girlfriend of 5 years... おめでとう!!(though I have to admit that I was a bit shocked at this, since Mabo is my ichiban... XDD)
I'm really happy for them, even if I know them only by name, because they're human beings (even if a lot more fortunate than us, because they're living their dream, which is something that many people can't achieve), and they deserve all the happiness!!! ^^
Now I have to get down and get some serious studying done since the exams are getting nearer and I really want to do well, especially in International Relations and Japanese Culture: we're talking about international relations btwn Japan and other countries, especially US, so I MUST get the maximum score!! I mean, it's the same topic as my thesis, this is my field, the one I want to specialize in to, and the job I'd like to do when I'm out of uni, so I can't help but do my best!! 頑張ろう樹利亜!!!
I miss my friends though: Fede and Alice are busy with work, Moni and Valeria with their thesis and they're not attending the graduate courses, so I can't meet them often; thank goodness I can regularly see Valentina and Gaia, and Laura, otherwise I'd go crazy!!! I just can't wait for some free-time weekend to meet with everyone at someone's home (mine is always free!! ^__-) and spend some good time altogether.... I miss you guys!!!
今お腹がすいてるから、食べに行きま~す!!XDDD
またね!!!
It's about a week that every time I come back to school I find something in the mail... last Friday were the results of the Noryoku Shiken: 366/400!!! YATTA!! I did 95/100 in kanjis, 91/100 in the listening comprehension and 180/200 in the grammar part!!! ^____________^ Chou ureshii!!
And yesterday when I got back home my Mum told me "today the postman brought a package for you" and I went "KITAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" My TOKIO's "sugar" album finally arrived!!!
I ordered the limited edition B, and the DVD is really wonderful!! I was really touched by all the efforts they put in the recording, you can clearly see how they care about making a prefect song....
Japan not-related things are the dinner I had last Friday with all the ex classmates (it went pretty well, but nothing special -___-) and the graduation party at Valentina's place!! Sugoku tanoshikatta!!!
And the pizzas Vale's Dad prepared for us were one of the best pizza I ever ate!!!! *______________*
And this Saturday we're going out and eat Japanese for Valeria's birthday&Womens' Day!!! ^____________^
But before I have to finish the presentation for Japanese Culture class, about..... yes, the relationship between Japan and US = the same things I put in my my graduation paper.. LUCKY!!! XDDD
Yesterday I went to Uni to watch Michele (one of my friends form Japanese class) graduating.... his paper was on Japanese Culture, about Aum Shinryo (the cult which released Sarin gas in Tokyo Metro station in 1995) and Kobe earthquake, focusing on Government failure in handling the situation....
The topic wasn't the nicest one, but he was so good at explaining and his paper was so well written that he got 110 points!! Which is top marks!! He didn't get honours, but he still was the best of the day...
ですから、ご卒業おめでとうございます!!
The best part was after the cerimony though.... his family and friends brought some bottles of champagne for an impromptu party (in the middle of the garden XDD), and when Michele opened the first one he sprayed all of us in champagne, like he were Valentino Rossi on the podium!!! ^_______^
That means: I went home (two hours and a half riding two trains) smelling of alcool.... XDDD
It wasn't the first time I went to a graduation cerimony, but to think that in the next one (December) I'll be one of the students standing there spic and span, with their papers in hand, talking to the committee with hundreds of people watching..... マジ緊張するよ!!
That's why, starting tomorrow, I've got to do my best and start writing my own paper... I now I won't get such a high mark (well, I could arithmetically, if the committee gives me all the 9 points for the paper and the 3 bonus points, but I bet it'll be very difficult.... ç__ç) but I'll try and do the best I can....
I surely owe it to my family, because they've being paying for 3 years for my tutition, to my friends and professors for the support and help, and also to myself, because I spent 3 years studying and I must make the best of it...
だから、卒業まで頑張るぞお~~~~~!!!
It's oveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!!!!! I finished all the exams!!!! *_______________*
It's been a hellish day, because the word "organization" in that university is an unknown concept... -_______- Poor Fede and Alice have to go back to uni tomorrow and Monday to finally sit this exam >_____<
I was able to do it today, because tomorrow there'll be a train strike (it's Italy, what do you expect? -__-) and since I've got a 2 hours ride to go to Milan I asked if I could do the exam today... final grade: 30/30!!!!! やったやったやった!!
I'm happy because I've been studying NY's ghettos for a month now, and though the topic was really interesting, I couldn't wait to get rid of this exam; I'm just disappointed because, due to bad organization, my friends and loads of other students weren't able to do it in the appointed day.... すごいむかつずく!!!
でも、Ali, Fede がんばって!!!君たちなら、本当によくできるよ!!!ファイトOH! ^___^
PS I'd really like to get my hands on the ass**** who hurt Valentina.... >________<
EDIT: I hate my modem 'cause it decided to go on strike exactly yesterday evening, right before the radio broadcast, so I couldn't listen to the only episode of Versione Beta where they talked about something useful: doramas!!!! And Tea, a subber form Doramiste Anonime Funsubs was on air by phone, and spammed our website (well Moni Hachiko and Fede and Laura's website... I only infest the forum ^^"""") ArashiForDream!!!! Ureshiiiiiiiii!!! ^_______^
Now I have to wait and dl the podcast of the episode.. also to know which Arashi song they played yesterday... UFF!!! >___<
Tomorrow I have the last exam of my career as undergraduate student....... 超緊張する!!!
I'm fairly relaxed because this morning I spent 4 hours reviewing on MSN with Fede, but I'm quite nervous because I've no idea of the questions they could ask about ghettos and racism in 19th century US...
Tonight Day 3 of Arashi Week on Italian Radio Broadcast, I really hope they'll play some "powerful" songs like "La Tormenta"!!! XDD
Now back to study!!!
Ja ne!!
Just a brief update (I'm submersed by books, notes and dunno-what-more..... I really need to study!! ç______________ç) to tell everyone this: watching Arashi with your friends is the best way to cure mental illnesses in general^^, and especially exam-related panic attacks!!! ^____________^
I'd like to write everthing about the "Arashi Marathon" of the past weekend, but I'm lazy today XD so I'll link you to Hachiko's blog for all details: http://arashi-vale.vox.com/library/post/maratona-arashica.html
SAIKOU DATTA!!! Minna arigatou!!! Even if Monica couldn't come because of the fever no yarrou, it was really funny!!! Can't wait until their AAA DVDs arrive (uff, why I'm always broke?? ç_____ç Hoshiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!) to get together again and have loads of fun!!! ^_______^
Other news about myself:
- Exams are less than a week away, I'm studying and all but I'm more anxious than I've ever been and I don't know why... maybe because these are the last exams before graduation, so I'll have to do my very best to get the highest marks I can.... GANBARIMA-----SU!!!! ^____^
(I'm so lazy today I don't even want to change the writing into Japanese.... -_____-)
- Moni and Hachi finally got the answer form Doushisha Uni: THERY'RE GOING TO KYOTO!!! OMEDETOU!!!!! (I'll be sure to give you the "shopping list" before you leave.... XDD) Now the only thing is to get the tickets for Arashi NatsuCon... ganbare!!!!
- Yesterday there was a special lesson about Tokyo, "DocuCity"; how the city was, in the POV of the great Meiji writers, and how it is today, with its light, and skyscreapers and tourists and everything.....
It was really interesting, but since I'm not particularly fond of literature (I'd rather much more economy and policy related topics) and the speaker, Prof. Maria Teresa Orsi, while extremely famous, competent and interesting had a very sleep-inducing voice.... -__- I'm glad I went, but I still feel that it'd have been better to stay home and study.....
I think I've said everithing, now I'm off to study again!!!
Ja ne!!!
やっとできました!The exam is do~~ne!!!! God I'm so tired, but I'm really really happy it's done!!
The class was split in two by surname, M-Z had the exam at 8.30 this morning, A-L at 14.30... I should've been at 8.30, but I asked the teacher to change 'cause I really didn't want to get up at 4.45 in the morning for a freaking exam!! >___< Anyway, the exam had 6 multiple-choice questions, and a report writing on two themes; the M-Z paper had "causes of the economic bubble" and "public administartion reform"; my paper had too the 6 multiple-choices and "advantages/disadvantages of vetical keiretsu" and "gorporate governance".....
.... Of course I chose the keiretsu!!! ^___^ Not that I didn't know/like the other theme, but I spent so much time reviewing and repeating the keiretsu system that it'd have been stupid not to write about them!! XDD
Anyway, I know I made st least one mistake in the report 'cause I was writing "study case" ^^ about Toyota, and I wrote "Toyota SUPPLIERS Association" instead of "PARTNERS Association"..... it's not the end of the world, I know, but I really wanted to be precise and write everything I knew and I fucked up royally....
Way to go Giulia!!! >__________________< I hope I didn't write some serious bulls**t..... ç______ç
After that I didn't stay for the "goodbye after-hour": it was already late and the Prof was going to talk to the kohais for the homestay in Kanazawa; we just said goobye to him....
(his final words to us: "the bad joke'd be <if you come to Tokyo stay away from the Embassy...> ...... WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT??? >_____< OF COURSE if I go to Tokyo I won't come and see you!!!! And to think that I have to keep in touch with that man for the degree ç______ç....)
....and went home.... well, I went home, Vale, Gaia, Fede and Ale went to eat iceream!! ^___^
Bad news striked when I got home: my uncle's house has been visited... by burglars, in broad daylight!! o___________O My little cousin Veronica got home today after school and found lights on and the kitchen window broken... Talk about pleasant surprise!! -____-
She was so scared the burglars were still in the house that she came crying to my house!!! Mum was really scared cause she thought something had happend to her!! My aunt & uncle right now don't know nothing 'cause they are on vacation (perfect timing to go to Capo Verde those two....) but I'll bet PISSED won't even describe how they'll be when they get back home.... Fortunately the burglars didn't take anything really valuable (except for the flat screen TV >_____< and my cousin's savings!! >______________________<) but still....
You can't even feel safe in your own home.... You're scared to even go out shopping cause you fear someone may break into your house...... ムカつく!!
Well, I'm going to sleep after this めっちゃ tiring day.... and I'll be sure to lock all the doors and windows!!!
おやすみ!!^______^
やった!I just finished the first episode!!!!
The dorama seems really interesting.. and funny!!! God, the Italian pronunciation is soooooooooooo funny!!!! I was laughing for the whole hour!!! ^_____________________^
And the dishes??? "Spaghetti alla bagna cauda"??? WTF?? Never heard of them, and I'M Italian!! Well, I know the "bagna cauda", it's a dish from my region, but it's really awful!! Onions, carrots, cabbage, meat and sardins stew.... BLEEEEAAAAAHHHH!! o_____________O
Thank God Jun always saves the day.... with his handsomeness, not his skills!!!^^ I really wanted to jump him when he got back into the restaurant, wet and beaten.... ^////////////////////////^ Poor guy, he'll have to work and work and work and work.... to cook something edible!! XDDD
Aaaahhh!! Can't wait for next week!!! ^___________^
Anyway I have a lot of things to do tomorrow: JAPANESE CULTURE EXAM!!! The Japanese Economic System before and after the "bubble", economic crisis and reforms, keiretsu, corporate governance system,.... ç________________ç マジで恐いいいいいいいいい!!!
I haven't the foggiest about what L'Altissimo ^^ can put in that damn paper.... Let's hope it's the keiretsu and the causes of the financial bubble, 'cause I don't remember anything about ristructuring and reforms....
The only positive thing is that the public transport stike has been canceled... instead of getting up at 4.45 am to be in Milan on time, I can go later!!! Wow, it's really good news for someone who gets up at 5.30 everyday!! ^___^
Then after the exam ther's the "goodbye after-hour" cause the Professor is leaving on Saturday for Japan... 4 years of "deployment" at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo.... I'm going to miss him I think.... but I'll definetly NOT miss his stupid jokes!! ^__^ I'm just thankful he signed my graduation papers and that last year he had let me go to Japan....
だから、先生いってらっしゃいませ!!気をつけてください!!そして、頑張って下さい!!
To end this hellish week on a positive note, on Sunday the MotoGP will back!!!! ^____________________^ Tukey, here we come!! Go Dani!!!
そろそろ、勉強に戻るぞ~~~!!頑張りま~~~す!!
じゃね!!!
After a week of absolute NIGHTMARE, worrying about the final paper, the title and the index today I finally got the approval from L'Altissimo Levissimo!!! (Joji's new nickname! XDD Like it??^___^)
Fede and I had to wait two hours outside the aula magna waiting for The Man, skipping Japanese lesson, plus going to and fro his office THREE times, but we finally got him to look at our indexes, correcting them and signing those two freaking sheets with the paper's title (obligatory for graduation 'cause we have to submit them together with other bureacratic paper and the "degree tax" payment (100€!! fu**ing thieves!! >______<)... otherwise we cannot graduate -__-)....
WE CAN GRADUATE!!! WE CAN MAKE IT!!! (this sentence is pure casuality.... XDDD)
Now back to study for Friday's exam, Japanese Economy, and then the final rush befor the official exam session... another nightmare!!! On May, 22nd written English (2 translations and report writing) and on the 23rd!! o__O written Japanese (kanji, verb conjugation, sentence translation and a sakubun).....
I'm gonna die!!! ç___________________ç
よ~~~し!!!頑張るぞおおおおお!!!!
Another good thing is that today I finally got to see my friends again... after a week without seeing each others, her Aiba avatar had become Moni's face; while Yukari's picture of Arashi holding umbrellas had become hers... ^___^""" I'm so happy to have seen you guys again!!!
And the session study on the campus lawns was very very very funny!!! I'm so happy to have met you guys!!! ^_____________________^
Sto sclerando!!!!!!
I LOVE Economy but now I've had enough of Keiretsu, Corporate Governance, HR Management and Restructuring!!!! >____________________________________________<
BASTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
